Pasco was less-than-thrilling. Comfortable, and nice to see the G’rents, but not the time of my life.
Cons–
Sleeping on the dog hair floor, then sleeping on a love seat. Super sore both days.
LONG drive.
Waking up before the crack of dawn because my Grandma and mother can’t sleep in like normal people.
Uncle’s crazy dog.
Random family tensions.
Harping from ma mere on food, calories, excercise, job, school, purpose, manners, ….. basically anything she could think of. Like usual.
Really long extended outings searching for washers and driers on the way home.
Pros–
Got to see relatives.
The pass is beautiful.
Had delicious roast on Father’s day.
Saw the preview for Merlin so I could watch it.
Saw Donovan’s Reef (that movie would so be blacklighted today. But I love it.)
Got some nice loot:
1-electric scissors
2-random apron pattern
3-lots of fabric samples so I can get used to working on different fabrics
4-a BUNCH of zip zap and threads magazines (these have a LOT of good stuff in them)
So all in all it was enjoyable but not really a vacation.
Today is the season premiere of The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ushered in by a marathon) and followed by that gymnastic show. So I am going to watch that with Josie and her sister-in-law.
Then tomorrow is the midnight premiere of Transformers 2 which I am going to with Sasha and Steven.
So all in all this week is looking up.
Oh yeah, and I pretty much love Neil Simon (kind of sans Private Lives). I would probably not ever write in a similar style but it’s kind of a nice relief.
I’ve gotten too bogged down in Beckett, Brecht, Abe, and some similar stuff lately.
Sincerely,
Emilie
